Jenna Tugaoen
Jenna is integral to Sycamore’s legal research and analysis team, focusing on complex business tax issues and keeping current with the latest developments in tax legislation. Since joining Sycamore, Jenna has investigated critical areas such as Section 174, Treasury Notice 2023-63, statute of limitations rules concerning R&D tax credits, software development, and the potential implications on IRS rule drafting after the Supreme Court’s overturning of Chevron deference. Prior to joining Sycamore, Jenna was an M&A tax associate at Grant Thornton in Cleveland, Ohio, where she specialized in comprehensive due diligence and organizational restructuring efforts, identifying potential tax risks and benefits for clients.
Jenna studied Strategic Communications and graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University. She graduated summa cum laude from Capital University Law School, receiving an award for her legal research and analysis and the Barristers Academic Excellence Scholarship. Additionally, Jenna served on the executive board of the Capital University Law Review, where her student article was selected for publication. Jenna is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and is a member of The Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association Tax Section.
